Tina is my amazing little Shetland pony. I got her for free to train, and she was skin and bones. Wild and malnourished, her owner assumed she was just going to rot in my backyard instead of hers.
Much to her surprise, Tina put on weight immediately and took to riding with little problems. She moved to my barn to be used in the lesson program and the kids loved her. She did a few shows and proved what an awesome jumper she is. Her old owner thought she still had some claim on her, but that, too, was a wrong assumption.
Today she lives on a farm with cattle horses and a herd of mini donkeys. The kids ride her sometimes, but she pretty much hangs with her herd, fat and happy. She seems happier than she’s ever been, and that’s all I could ever ask for her.

Margie, shown under the name Velveteen Rabbit. She was trained in Virginia as a racehorse, but never raced. She was badly abused at that time, unknown to her owner. When her owner found out she moved her to our barn, where our relationship began.
I don’t own this horse, but I never intend to lose her. When she came to us she was terribly afraid of the bit and a runaway. She couldn’t even ride a circle. She had little balance and was very fearful and shy.
For the past couple years I’ve uncovered a beautiful and loving horse who wants to please. She loves jumping and trail riding and I can’t imagine life without her. I ride her more than any other horse nowadays. She is gentle and incredible and I am just so blessed to have her in my life.

Dragons Gus! Gus is a 7-year-old POA, and my third horse. After Tina my instructor suggested I get another Shetland pony to train for the lesson program. Well, after some searching, my height requirement kept getting taller and taller.
I found an ad on Craigslist for a 3 y/o POA gelding who was “smart and beautiful”. I went to see him and there was in instant connection. He had absolutely not raining. When I tried to lead him, he had no idea what I was asking him to do. By the time I left he was leading quite nicely, and I came back to get him a couple weeks later.
Originally I got him to train and sell, but it didn’t take long to realize that was never going to happen. Gus is very special to me and I could never trust him with anyone else. Smart and beautiful just like his ad said.

MA Perfect Passion(Mimi) is a fourteen year old Polish Arabian, an dmy first pony I never thought I’d have a pony of my own, then one Christmas my little 11-year-old dreams came true.
She was probably about 7 when I started riding her, long before I got her. She was crazy and I fell off countless times, but I loved her and wanted her more than anything in the world. She is the greatest blessing in my life and I will never part with her.

I’ve been on tumblr for a while now, focusing mostly on my main blog. However, horses are such a huge part of my life it’s about time I got my blog dedicated to them up and running. So here we are!
I’ve been riding since I was about seven or eight. I’ve ridden mainly hunter jumpers and used to show quite a bit, although nowadays I’m more on the breaking and training side of things.
